Here’s the very quick and may or may not be used blurb for Undone:
Told from dual points of view, Undone is the upcoming finale for New York Times bestseller, Wendy Higgins’s, apocalyptic romance trilogy.

Best friends Remy Haines and Amber Tate are separated with no way to contact one another—no way to know if the other still lives. Remy and Jacob (Tater) Tate are taken as prisoners to the alien camp in Nevada, while Amber escapes to another hidden military bunker in Alaska with her crew of military friends.

Does Rylen make it to Alaska after his fighter jet is caught in the sight of two enemy jets?

Will Remy and Tater be able to fool the aliens into believing they’re allies, and possibly earn their trust enough to infiltrate? And how will Remy handle her feelings for Tater, especially when she earns the attention of a very important man at the camp?

Will humanity be saved?

Blurb

Beautiful. Fearless. Dangerous. The kind of girls you envy. The kind of girls you want to hate.

Strangers in town for the summer, Penn, Thea and Lexi have caught everyone’s attention, including the eye of practical Harper.
But it’s her sister, Gemma, they’ve chosen. Sixteen-year-old Gemma seems to have it all – carefree, pretty, and falling in love with the boy next door. But her greatest passion is the water. She craves solitary late night swims under the stars, where she can belong to the sea. But lately she’s had company.

Penn, Thea and Lexi spend their night dancing and partying in the cove, and one night Gemma joins them. She wakes, groggy on the beach the next morning and knows something has changed. Suddenly Gemma is stronger, faster and more beautiful than ever. And as she discovers her new mythical powers, Gemma is forced to choose between staying with those she loves – or entering a dark world brimming with unimaginable secrets.

Okay so do I need to summarise the book or have you got it all from the blurb? Haha

Basically Gemma likes to swim and has caught the attention of the new three girls in town who manage to lure her to their party.
Gemma wakes up groggy on the beach covered in a golden shawl. When she wakes though she’s different and the next time she goes swimming, she grows a fin.

An ancient world has opened up to her and Penn, Thea and Lexi are not letting her go. She’s part of their group now and she can’t go anywhere without them knowing. Thea tells Gemma that now she’s a siren no one can love her but that can’t be true because the boy next door has been in love with her for ages…

When she gets forces between making a choice between those she loves and going off with the sirens what will she choose?

I’ve read Amanda’s Trylle trilogy which I enjoyed so I had hopes that I would with this series too.

Although it was a bit slow to get in to I did enjoy the book. I’ve never read anything about Sirens before so it was definitely new.

Gemma and Harper are sisters but they are very different. Harper likes order and being in charge of things. She’s too old for her age in a way and acts like Gemma’s mom. Gemma is free and spirited. She likes to swim under the stars and have fun. But despite their differences they are always there for each other and have a strong bond.
They’re mother was injured in a car accident that left her with a brain injury and are raised by their dad.

Alex is the boy next door whose been in love with Gemma for a while. And Gemma is falling in love with him too. Until her life changes but Alex isn’t willing to let her go. Despite the fact that she’s now a mythical creature.

Daniel is the boy on the boat who always gets on Harper’s nerves but there’s a smouldering chemistry between them that Harper doesn’t want to admit.

Penn is a psycho but that’s for another review haha
Thea is okay but that’s for a another review
Lexi is crazy..  but another review again haha.

In this book they are weird and intimidating and full of secrets.

Overall it was a great book.

Blurb:

Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan isn’t your average college student. She, and others like her, know humans aren’t the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun… and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.

Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. With forest-green eyes and a smile that’s surely left a stream of broken hearts in its wake, he has an uncanny, almost unnatural ability to make her yearn for everything he has to offer. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers stalking the streets. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her.

But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. She’s no longer sure what is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.

Jennifer L. Armentrout is for sure one of my favourite authors, and this book did not disappoint! (Of course I am going to be biased however… as I said she is one of my favourites!)

Ivy is a great main character. She is intelligent, spunky, and strong. She can be girly at times but she also knows how to kick ass! She’s great and the past that’s she’s kept so well hidden from everybody makes her even more likable. She’s flawed, she knows what it’s like to lose people and she’s not perfect. A balance that a lot of main female characters in JLA books seem to have. I like it. It makes them seem more human. More easy for me to like them.

Ren is a great love interest! He’s badassery and sexy and he knows that he gets Ivy all worked up. I fell in love with him the moment he came into the book (seems to happen a lot with JLA’s men!) He knows when to say inappropriate things and when to be serious and he has a sense of duty. As well as his own past. They make a perfect team.

And OMG TINK! Tink… I just loved him. I want him as a pet as I know we would get along perfectly! He’s just… You gotta read the book. If you don’t like fairies or paranormal or new adult type books just read it for him. He’s great and funny and he does inappropriate things with troll dolls!

I liked how JLA mixed paranormal and New Adult together. She did it well. It wasn’t all just based on sex, it had a story to it, and it had structure and most of all it was a brilliant story to follow. Of course things got hot and heavy but its NA, what else do you expect? The whole sex scenes are done tastefully (and not too ott like smut books do them) and JLA still seems to make it all romantic instead of sordid. It was brilliant to see how these two met and fell in love. And I liked how Ivy wasn’t expecting it. It just happened.

The paranormal elements were great and I loved the action they bring to the story.

I’ve always loved anything to do with fairies and it was interesting to see them portrayed as evil instead of good. Like there were no good fairies in this (except for Tink… and he wasn’t even a fairy!) they are all bad and Ivy and her team are the ones to protect the human world from them. It gave me a lot of thought to my own fairy book (I’ll talk about that in another post haha)

The plot takes some fun turns, although many are slightly predictable. There’s mystery and action, but I wasn’t on the edge of my seat like I was with WHK & SCT (look at my other JLA review to see what they stand for!). It kept me entertained, but I was more interested in the romance. However, the ending twist got me, and I seriously need the sequel now!

I enjoyed this book very much. I’m excited to see what the next instalment brings and what the future holds for Ivy and Ren. But most importantly I need more Tink!

Also the book has made me want to go to New Orleans haha!
