Here’s the very quick and may or may not be used blurb for Undone:
Told from dual points of view, Undone is the upcoming finale for New York Times bestseller, Wendy Higgins’s, apocalyptic romance trilogy.

Best friends Remy Haines and Amber Tate are separated with no way to contact one another—no way to know if the other still lives. Remy and Jacob (Tater) Tate are taken as prisoners to the alien camp in Nevada, while Amber escapes to another hidden military bunker in Alaska with her crew of military friends.

Does Rylen make it to Alaska after his fighter jet is caught in the sight of two enemy jets?

Will Remy and Tater be able to fool the aliens into believing they’re allies, and possibly earn their trust enough to infiltrate? And how will Remy handle her feelings for Tater, especially when she earns the attention of a very important man at the camp?

Will humanity be saved?

FEYRE IS IMMORTAL.

After rescuing her lover Tamlin from a wicked Faerie Queen, she returns to the Spring Court possessing the powers of the High Fae. But Feyre cannot forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people – nor the bargaining she made with Rhysand, the High Lord of the feared Night Court.

As Feyre is drawn ever deeper into Rhysand’s dark web of politics and passion, war is looming and an evil far greater than any Queen threatens to destroy everything Feyre has fought for. She must confront her past, embrace her gifts and decide he fate.

SHE MUST SURRENDER HER HEART TO HEAL A WORLD TORN IN TWO.

Oh holy everything!!!

Before I even begin to review the epicness that is this book I will just tell you a few things:

1. I am not going to be able to due this book justice with my review.

2. As much as I want to spoil it I won’t

3. I have permission from a few friends to use there Goodreads reviews to help me.

4. I am going to fangirl a lot and use words like OMG and AJSBEHAJAODBDNSP!

Okay so here we go!

A Court of Mist and Fury (ACOMAF) follows on from the first book (A Court of Thorns and Roses).

Feyre saved the Fae world in the last book and because of that, she’s gotten powers from all the courts. Powers that Tamlin will not let her unlock for fear of her being hunted.

Life seems pretty well, she’s about to get married to Tamlin soon and she hopes that once they are, the mating bond will kick in. But Feyre can’t forget what she had to do Under the Mountain and it haunts her dreams every night. Then there’s also the bargain she made with Rhysand and who knows when he’ll cash in with that.

But Feyre needs to get away and Rhysand is the only one who can do that. While spending her time with Rhysand she learns a few truths about the war that’s building and about her powers.

Once back with Tamlin however… well he does some pretty bad stuff and Feyre ends up at the Night Court. For good.

See here is where I have to stop because I seriously cannot go any further otherwise I’ll spoil the whole book! I can say though that your heart and feels will go into overdrive, revelations come out and Tamlin… Tamlin is a dick but GOD EVERYTHING WAS JUST AJSIWOEVXBSBWJWOAPKXNXBSJWP!!!

I will quickly delve into the character developments and mention the new characters… without spoiling it as much as I can!

In this book Feyre has grown so much. In the first one, although kickass, she was still trying to find her way in the Fae world. In this one, although a little lost, she manages to find it. And she relishes in it. With her new found powers she’s even more kickass than she was in ACOTAR. She’s a character you can get behind and support. I love how she manages to get over her issues and can finally be happy. I adore Feyre so much!

Tamlin… well its funny how your allegiance changes in the space of two books! I loved Tamlin in the first book but in this one… He was so over-bearing and so… ugh! He’s such a dick in this book. And what he does… god and the ending… what he did… UGH!!!!

Rhysand… my baby, my bae, my love… AHSJDNSJWIWODJNFNDMDKSPSWP!!!! GOD! I liked in the first book, he was the mysterious, dark, alluring guy with secrets and a darkness to him and in this book you see him for who his true self is behind the mask he wears and omg it’s so beautiful and the things he reveals and just GOD I LOVE HIM!

Lucien… I hope he man’s up in the next book because he’s a decent guy but in this one… I like Lucien but he needs to get rid of Tamlin. But seeing as what happened… well. I’m hoping he’ll help (all so mysterious :P)

Nesta and Elain were also mentioned in this one and what happens… I think they are both going to be strong characters in the next book and strong allies too.

Mor, Azriel, Cassian and Amren are brilliant new characters that get introduced and they have such a strong bond between them all. Especially with Rhysand too. I love seeing Rhysand with friends and what a strong friendship it was. They would die for each other. Amren is interesting too because I want to know what she is and I totally want Mor and Azriel together as well as Cassian and Nesta… now that pairing I would love!

Overall the book was just everything and Sarah J Maas is such an amazing writer that you can imagine every scene playing out in your head. And her sexy sexy scenes… GOD! The scenes she writes is better than any erotica book I’ve read! (I read a few) Sarah has a way of making it seem so beautiful and pure, despite the sexiness of it 😉 and the ones in this book…. DAMN!

Sarah has fast become on of my all time favourite authors. I just love how she manages to make you laugh and then cry and then get angry and then die from feels only to have them mend again in a chapter is amazing! If you can feel all that in one chapter then imagine what a whole book is like!
She’s just a goddess and her books are everything. These books and the Throne of Glass books.
I just love her.

And if my review still hasnt sold you on reading this book (Read A Court of Thorns and Roses first though!) then I’ll now enter the reviews from my friends… (I had permission… I’m not stealing them!)

The first is from Rebecca 🙂

Isn’t it wonderful how in a series a creator can make you change “teams”? The previous bad guy may seem good after all & vice versa. You start to hate who you loved, and love who you hated?

I love that Feyre wasn’t alright after what she went through in ACOTAR, makes her more real. We see that “happily ever after” may not be all we thought it would be. What is the cost of being revived by 7 powerful High Fae Lords? How was she affected?

With Feyre’s owed time to Rhysand (I know we’ve all been waiting to see what that would be like) we “delve” into the Persephone & Hades myth (Greek mythology yay, I’m Greek). The Night Court is sooo not what you expect, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t perilous. Grinning through must of the book, due to Rhys, especially since he is as Feyre calls him “a shameless flirt”

This story is so alive, you feel like you are living it & the simmering danger. Gut-wrenching, exciting, dangerous, breath-snagging, sexy and that plot twist that will have you screaming & compel you to throw your book/reader at the wall (don’t destroy your reader).

I WORSHIP this book *bowing down to Sarah. J. Maas’s excellence. *

The next is from Debora 🙂

This is definitely one of the best pieces of fantasy I’ve read. Sarah J. Maas never disappoints.
With a smooth start, ACOMAF had me at the very first page. The main character gradually developed amazingly throughout this fantastic roller coaster.
The world of the Fae that Sarah brought to life this time around is just one those worlds that goes beyond the magic. There was so much beauty in the little details of the courts that I was at times left speechless.
One of my favourite things with ACOMAF was the whole romance between the main characters, once again it didn’t feel rushed at all and the female lead was actually hesitant and suffering, at times struggling with all the emotional turmoil. She struggled with her feelings and it only made the characters all the more real.
The build up towards the end was great and it didn’t feel rushed at all even though a lot happened really fast.

The fight scenes were so easy to visualise that at times I felt like I was watching it on a screen rather than reading a book.
I would totally recommend you read A Court Of Thorns And Roses (First book) it is gripping from page one.
I kept switching between the ebook and the audio book because it was more convenient for me and to be honest I really like this audio book. So if you’re not into audio books yet or even if you are, i give this one a thumbs up 😉

Thank you so so much girls!

The Covenant University has become a front line for the escalating violence between pure-bloods and half-bloods – war between the races seems inevitable. Sets must prepare Josie for battle, which means teaching her how to control her new found demigod abilities… and they need to find and rescue the other demigods before their enemies – the Titans – find them first.

Only one thing is more dangerous than a bunch of Titans, and that’s an out-of-control Apollyon. The aether in Josie is drawing Apollyon Sets in deeper, and their closeness becomes explosively dangerous. But letting Josie go requires a level of selflessness that just isn’t Set’s style.

When the danger from the Titans erupts with devastating consequences, the dark allure of power calls to Seth once again. But this time, Josie may not be able to pull him back from the brink…

Eeeeek! JLA knows how to play with feels!

The Covenant University is being plagued by violence. The Pure-bloods are not happy with the demolition of the breed order and they are taking it out on half-bloods. In a bad way.

While everything is happening Seth is training Josie to unleash her demigod powers but the more she uses her power, the more Seth is getting addicted to her aether.
He knows the best thing would be to walk away from her but it’s easier said than done.

When they are making out after a training session and an argument, Seth does something unthinkable and he knows it’s time he left her alone.

With Josie alone and training with other people, her powers are coming to light.

When Alex and Aiden return to Earth from spending 6 months in the Otherworld, everything changes.

With daimons breaking into the Covenant and everyone ready to kick ass, Seth looses his mind when he sees Josie among them fighting and well… what follows is sexy sexy time 😉

When Apollo brings Hercules to them to help find the other demigods, Seth’s God Killer power is unleashed when he kills a Titan. A powerful Titan.

Will Seth be able to control his new powers? Or is he destined to go crazy with power?

Ahhh JLA knows how to write!

This book was just as great as the first one, full of even more fights and more sexy sexy time!
Whereas the Covenant series was YA, The Titan books are NA so we get just that little bit more.

Seth is still the same as always: cocky, arrogant, full of himself but damn he hot! Despite all this he does have a soft side and reveals a part of himself to Josie throughout the books. You see more about him than just the cocky Seth we knew in the covenant books. Seth is trying hard in this book to not give in to the aether and let his Apollyon powers get too much. He knows that the longer he stays around Josie the more he’s tempted by her aether. But as we know, Seth can be a little bit selfish so walking away from her is hard. But when things go wrong and Seth has to kill a Titan, those powers are unleashed. So does this mean he’s dangerous? Or can Josie save him?

Josie is her usual geeky, awkward self. And still can’t pronounce Apollyon properly! She’s training to unleash her demigod powers but as usual it’s hard. Especially with Seth training her. When something happens and Seth walks away from her she gets trained by someone else and with doing this her powers are unleashed. Still a bit unsure about killing things it’s put to the test when Daimons break into the covenant. With the arrival of Hercules and the whole find the other demigods task, Josie has a lot on her plate but when Seth turns on his Apollyon powers she knows only she can save him from himself.

Alex and Aiden are back too and I’m glad they didn’t take away from you story of Seth and Josie. Although they had a few scenes they were more background. I love those too though and I really want another story from them haha. I can understand why Josie was a little jealous of Alex when she arrived and especially when Apollo seems to like her more than he likes his own daughter. But they are still in love and still kick ass and still… yeah.

Hercules was a surprise! I’m used to the Disney version of Hercules so this cocky arrogant sweary shags any female Hercules was different! I did still like him though and he and Seth would probably have a great bromance together if they weren’t sniping with each other all the time.

We had the other characters too in the form of Luke and Deacon who are still loved up and hot for each other. Especially with the one scene Seth witnesses haha.

The new demigod Gable is going to be interesting.

But the death though… The death!!!! I can’t deal.

I love JLA and as always I can’t fault her writing. I love it and the way it sucks you in is still as epic as always.

I want the next book now though because the way it ended… damn!

Forever with You by J Lynn

Standard

Blurb:

Some things you just believe in, even if you’ve never experienced them. For Stephanie, that list includes love. It’s out there. Somewhere. Eventually. Meanwhile she’s got her job at the mixed martial arts training center and hot flings with gorgeous, temporary guys like Nick. Then a secret brings them closer, opening Steph’s eyes to a future she never knew she wanted – until tragedy rips it away.

Nick’s self-assured surface shields a past no one needs to know about. His mind blowing connection with Steph changes all that. As fast as he’s knocking down walls that have kept him commitment free, she’s building them up again, determined to keep the hurt – and Nick- out. But he can’t walk away. Not when she’s the only one who’s ever made him wish for forever…

This story in the Wait for You books is about Nick and Steph who we saw in the bar together at the end f Roxy and Reece’s story. It follows the pair as they have a one night stand and the consequences after.

Nick is a play boy if you like. He has one night stands with girls and thats it. He doesn’t see them again after that and they don’t go into Mona’s.

Enter Steph, the girl Katie predicted was the one for Nick. The girl who does have a one night stand with Nick but doesn’t want to follow his rules.

The pair have a connection, a connection they can no longer deny as the books go one.

Then Steph becomes pregnant and that’s where things get a little complicated but they learn to adapt. Until tragedy strikes.

Can they get back together and get their forever?

Okay shortest summary ever but if I give a long one I’ll give the whole plot away.

We’ve seen Steph briefly in past books, (Cam and Avery’s, Jase and Tess’s). Steph always came across as strong and sassy and sometimes a little bit of a bitch (well that’s the way it came across sometimes). But in this book I couldn’t quite see those qualities. Sure you got to see a different side to her but I couldn’t quite connect to her. I called a lot of the stuff that happened to her too.

Nick was the same, sure he was hot and had all the qualities JLA men have but I called a lot of the things that happened to him also. Nothing seemed to shock me like it has done with previous books in this series.

The book sucked in, like all JLA books do but something about this one couldn’t make me connect with the characters. I liked them don’t get me wrong I didn’t hate them and what happened was a tragedy and thousands of women go through it and I feel really sorry for them but I don’t know. I think that was the only thing that made me feel for them in the book. They are great characters and I always wanted to know more about them when they were brifely mentioned in other books but sometimes they didn’t seem like the characters we’d seen before. They were changed somehow. I don’t know maybe it was just me who couldn’t gel with them.

Nick was great when it came to dealing with Steph and he knew what he wanted from her but the whole running around each other and having Steph push him then pull him away drove me insane. I wanted to slap her. It was obvious he loved her and she still couldn’t see it despite everyone always saying that he was. Nick was really sweet and he was hot and attentive and he had a past (which I called) and he has a connection to another character in the book (also called).

Steph was pretty cool in the beginning and seemed like the character we’d seen before but she did annoy me a little bit. I don’t know why. I couldn’t say why there was just something there. What happens to her and Nick, even though I called it, was upsetting and when she breaks down to Katie that is also upsetting.

The story is great. I do love JLA but this isn’t one of my favourites from the series. My favourite three are the first three in the series. I loved Roxy and Reece’s story too but first three are the best. Well to me they are anyway.

I’ve heard the next book in this series is her last one and I hope JLA does the story on Brock and Jillian because I have a feeling that story is going to be amazing. (Brock is mentioned from the third book and Jillian is mentioned in this book)

Oh and the one thing that made me squee because I love them oh so much is Cam and Avery…. OMG! 🙂

Blurb:

Sometimes life leaves a mark.

Most days, Andrea doesn’t know whether she wants to kiss Tanner or punch him in the gut. He is seriously hot, with legit bedroom eyes and that firefighter body of his, but he’s a major player, and they can’t get along for more than a handful of minutes. Until now.

Tanner knows he and Andrea have an epic love/hate relationship for as long as he can remember, but he wants more love than hate from her. He wants her. Now. Tomorrow. But the more he gets to know her, the more it becomes obvious that Andrea has a problem. She’s teetering on the edge, and every time he tries to catch her, she slips through his fingers.

Andrea’s life is spiraling out of control, and it doesn’t matter that Tanner wants to save her, because when everything falls apart and she’s speeding toward rock-bottom, only she can save herself.

Sometimes life makes you work for that happily ever after…

We met Andrea and Tanner in Frigid and even then you could tell you they had a love/hate relationship.
So I was super happy to get a book about them.

Andrea and Tanner aren’t friends, they are more like acquaintances. Tanner knows Kyler and Kyler is dating her BFF Sydney so they have to, sometimes, get along.

They snipe and bicker at each other and when Sydney tells Andrea that they are all going to go away for a week you just know sparks are going to fly.

A few nights before they go out and like usual Andrea gets drunk, this time is different though. Tanner gets jealous when Andrea receives male attention and he steps in.

On the trip up to there week away Tanner and Andrea call a truce to their bickering. But Tanner wants more from Andrea… as his feelings for her come at him all at once he won’t stop until Andrea is underneath him…

Andrea has her own demons and even though she knows she should talk about it all she doesn’t. She bottles everything. When Tanner says he wants her she can’t quite believe it but things get hot and heavy between them and Andrea can’t cope.

She spirals out of control and she’s having the worst attack she’s ever had.

Things get worse though and Andrea won’t accept help, until something happens that makes her change her ways.

But she’s convinced Tanner won’t want her when he finds out the truth.  Can he convince her that he loves her for who she is?

This book.

Andrea was a character I could relate to whole heartedly. She doesn’t think she’s good enough or worthy enough. She knows she’s not relationship worthy and she has problems she won’t talk about. She’s curvy. Her stomach isn’t flat and her thighs rub… everything a guy wants obviously! She’s wanted Tanner for a while and has crushed on him hard. So when he starts paying more attention to her she can’t quite believe it. Why would he want her? To help with her problems, Andrea self medicates with alcohol. Which makes her forget everything.
Andrea doesn’t want to speak her feelings aloud because then it makes everything real but when Tanner says something to her in an argument, Andrea has a massive anxiety attack and she’s mortified that Tanner saw her. She knows she needs help but when they get back home and is alone with her thoughts and drinking… something happens that makes her change her life.

Tanner. He’s hot, just like every JLA guy haha. I loved how Tanner loved Andrea for who she was. Her body shape didn’t bother him, in fact he loves her curves… a lot.
And even though Andrea has a lot of problems that doesn’t bother Tanner either. He wants to help her. He wants to be there for her. He’s the guy I need! He waits for her to open up and his heart breaks when he sees how she acts and behaves when she’s had a drink. Her attack is an eye opener but he still doesn’t run. In fact he gives her space and lets her sort herself out and tells her he’ll be there for her. However long it takes.

What I loved about this book is how JLA touched upon depression and anxiety and how it makes people feel. She delved into the mind set of people and I found myself bonding with Andrea because all the things she’s felt are things that I’ve felt or are still feeling.

This book gave me hope that someone is out there for me who won’t be bothered about my depression and anxiety. Just like Tanner is with Andrea.

Yes this book was slow in some parts and was different from Frigid but that didn’t matter. She brought to life a subject that not many people are familiar with or don’t understand. She made it easier for people to spot those signs.

So thank you JLA for putting depression and anxiety in a book and thank you for giving those who suffer from it hope. Hope that we can get over it and hope that there is a guy like Tanner out there for us.

Blurb:

Roxy’s loved Reece Anders since she was fifteen, so when the straitlaced cop finally surrendered to a steamy encounter years later, Roxy hoped he’d fall for her, too. He didn’t. Or that’s what she’s always believed. But then Reece storms back into her life when the man who injured her childhood friend is out of prison and wanting to make amends-something Roxy cannot do.

The last thing she wants is to go there with Reece again, but he’s determined to prove to her that he’s exactly what she needs. Especially when a sick creep starts messing with her. But what’s more dangerous to Roxy-a psycho after her or the past that refuses to let go allow her to open up her heart again?

Roxy is in love with Reece. That much is obvious and so is her dislike of him. They had a steamy encounter a few years ago but Reece didn’t fall in love with her. In fact he regrets that night.

So when Reece comes back into her life he wants to talk about that night. But there’s something Roxy isn’t telling him and what Reece hates more than anything is lies.

Roxt knows she should tell Reece the truth but when the night ends up with them sleeping together… it just gets more complicated.

Also the gut who seriously injured her best friend is back out of prison and is wanting to make amends with both her and her BFF Charlie. But Roxy can’t let go of the past.

Then there’s the fact that Roxy believes her house is haunted because things are happening there that hasn’t done. And when she wakes up to find a picture of herself fast asleep in her phone she knows she needs to call the police.

But things escalate and so does her relationship with Reece and before she knows it she’s opening up her heart and soul to him.

And of course there’s still that issue of the psycho whose stalking her and when she finds the creepy secret staircase behind her wardrobe Roxy follows it, which ultimately leads her into danger … but will she be okay? And wi Reece save her time?

OMGEEEEEEEEE JLA did it again with this book.
This woman never fails to get me hooked into a story!

We saw Roxy and Reece in the last book about Calla and Jax and I just couldn’t wait for them to have their own story because I needed to know what their deal was.

Roxy is hilarious.  She gets sweet and snarky down to a t. She’s fun and lovable but could cut you down with her sharp wit. She loves her best friend Charlie who was seriously injured and visits him every Friday at the home, even though it breaks her heart that he doesn’t recognise her.
Even though she’s dated a lot her one love of her life is Reece. The sexy, angry and snarky cop. Roxy has always believed that Reece doesn’t feel that way about her but she soon learns that those feelings are reciprocated.
Roxy doesn’t open up and is fearful of losing people she cares about and when things with Reece get more and more heated she pulls away.

Reece…. oh hot damn REECE! Just like Cam, Jase and Jax, Reece is HOT! He knows what he wants and he’s going to get it. He’s had feelings for Roxy for a while and is gutted that he can’t remember their night together a few years ago and he wants to rectify that soon.
Reece is protective of Roxy and can’t stand lies so when he learns the truth of what actually happened that night a few years ago… he does kinda loose it.
He wants Roxy but she has her own demons and so does he and together they know that they can heal their past wounds. But Roxy just has to let him in.

We see all our old favourites in this book too. Avery and Cam, Jase and Teresa, Jax and Calla. We briefly see Ollie and Brit and we get to see Jacob from book 1 with his super hot boyfriend.

I love how these books all relate to each other and how they link. Friendships get tightened more and this is the last time that they’ll all be together because of graduation.  *sobs*

Just like the other books this one was swoon-worthy, full of snark and heat. It had heart breaking moments aswell as heated moments. Everything about this book was brilliant and this time it had a psycho twist.

It had the heartbreaking pasts like the others did andthis, unlike the others, this one had the love that was deep set from childhood. They’ve known each other for a long time and they didn’t have to get to knoe each other. They just had to tell the truth and open up.

Again this was another brilliant book from JLA. I honestly can’t find any fault with her books haha and its like I need too find something but I can’t!

No wonder she’s in my top 5 favourite authors!
