Tidal by Amanda Hocking book 3 in the Watersong Series

Her only hope lies with her greatest enemies.

Gemma is facing the fight if her life. Cursed by beautiful but deadly sirens,  her extraordinary powers have a terrifyingly dark side, and becoming human once more is proving her greatest challenge yet. As she struggles to break the curse, the sirens, Penn, Lexi and Thea, are determined to kill her before she can set herself free.

Gemma’s only allies are her sister, Harper, and Harper’s boyfriend, Daniel. Together they must delve into their enemies’ mythical pasts – to discover their darkest secrets. But Penn has also set her sights on Daniel. Soon, the sirens threaten everything Gemma holds dear: her family, her friends, her life and her relationship with Alex – the only guy she’s ever loved. Can she save herself and those she cares about before its too late?

After everything that happened in book two, the sirens have decided to stay so they can keep an eye on everything.

Alex has left the sirens attentions,  ever since Gemma sang to him to make him stop loving her. Now she’s focusing all her energy into the play and fooling around with other boys to keep her hunger at bay. But it doesn’t stop her from loving Alex, who now hates her, thanks to the siren song.

Gemma wants to break the curse but has no idea how to do it. So they get help. Marcy, who works with her sister at the library, has a friend who deals in the supernatural and they go see her. She tells them that there would be a scroll with the curse on it. If they find it, they may have a way to break it.

Gemma searches everywhere for it bit can’t find it. The sirens have it hidden and Thea tells her to stop looking for it otherwise it’ll get her killed.

Harper is now in a relationship with Daniel but seeing as he is immune to the siren song, Penn has set her sights on him and will do anything to get him. Even if that means killing everyone.

Gemma is on limited time before Penn decides to kill her so she knows that finding the scroll is important, even though Thea told her not too.

But when things go wrong again and Penn kills, Thea has had enough and hands the scroll, with the curse on it,  over to Gemma…

This book was definitely better than the other two. It had more action, more nail biting things in it.

Gemma is heartbroken after she used her song on Alex and is trying her hardest to forget about him but she can’t. She’s still trying to keep him safe though. Even though the sirens are no longer focused on him.

Penn… okay… She’s bat crap crazy! Seriously. She’s gotten worse throughout the books and I know I didn’t go into much detail about her in the other reviews but damn… She’s really obsessive. Especially about Daniel. Even though he wants nothing to do with her.

Thea has started to protect Gemma a little and tries to stop Penn from killing her to get a new siren. And then she hands over the scroll. Knowing that means her death but she’s had enough.

Lexi… she’s crazy… more crazy than Penn. She likes to kill and eat and she attacks Daniel, knowing that Penn has warned her off him. And Gemma… Gemma has to let the monster take over in order to save them all.

Gah this one was brilliant!
