Oh my god this book!
It literally tore my feels in half. I couldn’t believe how involved I got with these characters lives and how I was so not ready to put the book down.
Sydney hasnt really had the best start to turning 22 years old and you can’t help but feel sorry for her. So when she starts her friendship with Ridge you can’t help but feel pleased that she’s starting to trust again.
Ridge… sexy sexy Ridge. God that man!
*WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD! (If you don’t want to know then stop reading this review!*)
Ridge is completely deaf so the communications between him and Sydney were either texts or via Email. This is how Maggie finds out about his feelings for Sydney. Ridge is just… uh I just loved him. He was perfect and despite his growing feelings for Sydney he really tried to stop them from reaching the surface. He got jealous alot especially when he shouldn’t, he spent more time with her when he shouldn’t and the songs lyrics they wrote together described all they were feeling, when they both knew they shouldn’t.
Maggie is ill (I’m not saying what) and when she collapses in the bathroom and Ridge is trying hard to communicate with Sydney about what he needs is heartbreaking because neither can understand each other and your feels get all over the place.
Then theres the scene when he tells her to leave which just kills him. You can see it but he can’t deal with it all.
Then theres the heart to heart with Maggie and the pen scene with Sydney and then their heart to heart and the moment he speaks and the story as to why he didn’t speak and the ending and everything and COLLEEN HOOVER YOU PLAYED WITH MY FEELS!
This book was one big feel factor and I loved every single minute of it. The story was well written and realistic and I loved how it split between his POV and her POV because we got to see how they both felt for each other and how thet tried to keep it concealed.
I loved reading the messages between them and the moment at the end where he speaks and she learns sign language was TOO MUCH!
And the ending itself… *dies* it was perfect and the feels and I just… I can’t…
Overall I loved this book and I want all her others because I have a feeling I’m going to love those too!
