Horizon by Alyson Noel book review

The second review!

Daire Santos is the last of the Soul Seekers, and the only thing standing between the Richters and the destruction of everyone she loves. With her grandmother gone and Cade back in Enchantment, Daire must finally step into her destiny and lead the fight against the Richters. But what if that means sacrificing the person she loves most?

Bound to the Richters by blood, Dace struggles against the darkness growing inside him that threatens to claim Daire too. Though Daire refuses to give up on him, the choice may not be hers. An epic battle is on the horizon and the end of the world looms near. With such insurmountable odds stacked against them, is their love really enough to conquer all?

I loved these books…

Daire has come to terms with her Grandmothers death and the only thing keeping her sane is Dace, her fated one, her true love.

But the dreams start coming again and she knows that this is her one and only chance to take down the Richters once and for all.

Then comes something she never thought would happen, Dace is still carrying around the evil inside him from when he soul jumped into his twin Cade. And he’s about to become a beast.

With the prophecy changed Dace knows he must distance himself from Daire to save her.

Her determination to beat the Richters is now in full swing and she’s determined to get Dace back… at whatever the cost.

With the Richters invading the Upper, Middle and Lower worlds Daire must come into her powers and save Enchantment for destruction. With a little help from her friends and mother of course…

What an ending to a great book series.

I loved Noel’s Immortal series and this series didn’t disappoint either.

Everything about this book kept you on the edge of your seat and I couldn’t put the book down. Noel knows how to write drama and romance and I love how she wrote about Love being the strongest weapon of all. Because really it is.

And I loved the twist. Dace becoming the beast and the one who could ultimately destroy everything, while Cade was the one who became more likable… AAAAHHHH!

I loved seeing how Daire grew into a powerful young woman in the series and she was such an easy character to love. She went through all the troubles a teenage girl can do.. well one with powers of course and I love how her relationship with Dace, even through the hard times, proved to be strong and secure.

And the different POV’s that Alyson split the book into I also enjoyed, especially becasue we got to see what the other characters were feeling and how they were getting on with these turn of events.

I ‘m sad to see this series come to an end if I’m honest. I enjoyed all of the books (Fated, Echo, Mystic and Horizon) so much that I would recommend everyone to read them.

Alyson Noel is an amazing writer and she deserves a lot of credit for her books as the scenes range from intense to down right lovable. I love her!

5 out of 5 stars

The only bad thing?… It needed to be longer!
