Blurb:

It’s been three years since Mia walked out of Adam’s life. And three years he’s spent wondering why.

When their paths cross again in New York City, Adam and Mia are brought back together for one life changing night.

Adam finally has the opportunity to ask Mia the questions that have been haunting him. But will a few hours in this magical city be bought yo lay their past to rest, for good – or can you really have a second chance at first love?

Yes! Yes it can!!!

This book is all from Adam’s POV. His band, Shooting Stars, are huge, sell out, rock stars but Adam doesn’t like the lifestyle anymore. He feels alone. Out of sorts. And above all, he’s still hurt over Mia.

Adam is part of celebrity couple with Bryn, the beautiful actress, but even though he’s been with Bryn for two years… he just can’t love her as much as he loves Mia.

Then chance happens. Shooting Stars are flying to London for a video shoot, but Adam is getting tomorrow’s flight and by chance, he stumbles across one of Mia’s cello recital’s.

Within 24 hours Mia and Adam are together again and truths are revealed. Mia finally tells Adam the truth as to why she let him go. Will it heal old wounds? Will they finally get the closure they need to let each other go? Or will they both get a second chance at their love?

This.

This book.

Oh.

My.

God!!

And it’s from Adam’s POV and I love Adam!

This story was lyrical, it flowed from sentence to sentence and the way he described his feelings was beautiful.

You go through all of Adam’s emotions and when it starts, your first reaction is; “what the hell happened between them?” You get angry with him, upset, guilty, emotional. His life is one rollercoaster and all he wants back in his life is Mia.

And when they come together again. God it was beautiful. Suddenly you went from jumping into Adam’s emotions to jumping into Mia’s and you can see the points from both of them. The reason why Mia walked out on him finally comes to light and it feels like you have been sucker punched, just like Adam does.

But there is one thing that they both still have: their love for each other.

Its so beautifully written and Gayle Forman once again writes an emotional and raw story.

And the scene she writes when Mia and Adam are in her garden and they… AAAAAHHHHH!!!

I love this book. I don’t know which I loved more: This one or the first one If I Stay. Both are just amazing. I can’t wait to read some more of her stuff.

5 out of 5 stars. A must read.

I LOVE IT!

ADAM

I hope this one gets made into a movie too!
