Frigid by J Lynn book review

She’s done it again!

I picked this book up yesterday morning and put it down last night!

For twenty one year old Sydney,
Being in love with Kyler isn’t anything new.

They’d been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard.

The big problem with that? Kyler puts the “man” in man-whore.
He’s never stated with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn’t want ti risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she’s perfect and she’s everything. But the feelings he has for her, he’s always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of the tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they’re stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor’easter, there’s nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction!

Better yet, can they survive at all! Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be…
A life changed in more than one way.

I just can’t get over how well Jennifer manages to suck me into her story world.

This one was just so amazing!

Kyler and Sydney have been BFF’s for forever and the whole ‘unrequited’ love thing is so in this book.
He loves her
She loves him.
But they don’t say it!!

Then comes the skiing trip to Snowshoe, the one they go on every year with their friends, except this one is a little different from before. This time there’s a massive snow storm on its way and their friends are stranded elsewhere while Syd and Kyler are stranded at the Ski resort.

And mother of all that is holy; ITS SO HOT!!

Especially when Syd gets drunk and throws herself at Kyler and then there’s the fact that someone is stalking them. And when they power gets lost and the heating goes down the only thing to keep warm is the fire… and themselves.

Tensions arise and they can no longer hide their attraction… queue some extremely hot scenes *drool* and of course the fall out.

While they have this fall out they try to work out what’s going on in their heads… one things for sure though; they love each other.

But will they tell? Or will things just go back to the way they were?

I loved this book. So much so that I read it in a day!

Sydney is a girl we can all get on board with, she’d rather read that party, is always early for things and is just adorable. She doesn’t know how beautiful she is and her love for Kyler is evident from the start.

And Kyler? Hot Damn!
He’s the play boy, the one who goes from girl to girl but never stays with them. And why? Because he’s in love with Syd. There were definite signs, especially in the beginning when they are at a club and Kyler gets jealous when Sydney is being chatted up and of course when he walks in on Sydney in her underwear, and when he feels her up in his sleep…

I can understand where both of them are coming from aswell. Telling each other the truth could ruin their friendship and you know, there is the possibility that the other won’t feel the same way (which is totally ridiculous when you read the book!)

I just love how this book was a page turner right from the start, with all the romance and some laugh out loud moments, it was hard not to fall in love with these characters!

And I love how it was split between Kyler and Sydney’s perspective. Especially as you got to see the warring emotions between the two of them and how much they totally adored each other.

And once again Jennifer has given me ANOTHER book boyfriend!
Kyler Quinn. HOT DAMN.

So that’s now Kyler along with Jase, Cam, Daemon, Dawson, Aidan, Seth, Archer and there’s so many more books of hers that I want to read that I know the list is just going to grow!

I absolutely adored this book and I adore the author too.

5 out of 5 stars

Hell even 10 out of 10 stars!
