Sticking with the Vampire theme this weeks crush is….
Paul Wasilewski was born on July 23rd 1982 in New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA to his Polish parents Thomas and Agnieshka Wasilewski.
Paul has 1 older sister called Monika and 2 younger sisters called Julia and Leah. He grew up in Marlboro Township in New Jersey.
As well as speaking English, Paul also speaks Polish having spent 4 months there every year until he was 16 years old.
Paul attended Christian Brothers Academy in Lincroft New Jersey and briefly attended Marlboro High.
During his junior year he was cast in the soap opera, Guiding Light as Max Nickerson.
He transferred from Marlboro High to Lakewood Prep School in Howell New Jersey because the school was able to accommodate his acting schedule. He graduated in 2000.
He started college at Rutgers University in New Jersey but left after one semester, with his parents full support, when more acting roles were offered to him and he realised he could make a career out of acting.
In 2005 he began to credit himself as Paul Wesley as he said his last name was too hard to pronounce and he asked his parents permission first before he changed it (awwww)
Paul has had a number of roles including; 24, 8 Simple Rules American Dreams, Army Wives, Cane, Everwood, Guiding Light, Smallville, The O.C. and Wolf Lake
He starred opposite Amber Tamblyn in CBS’ The Russell Girl.
He was given the lead role as Aaron Corbett in the miniseries Fallen which was based on the books by Thomas E Sniegoski (Its about Angels incase you didn’t know… the books are pretty good too!)
Paul is currently starring as Stefan Salvatore in the hit TV show The Vampire Diaries (Its AMAZING!)

So why is he crush of the week?
Apart from the handsome looks, chiseled jaw and piercing green eyes, and standing at 5′ 11″ Paul is undoubtedly beautifully handsome.
He’s an amazing actor and from what I’ve seen in interviews and Comicon panels he’s a very down to earth guy and easy to get along with.
He is perfect as Stefan in TVD and yes I’ve read some of the books but the TV show is miles better.
And, although his marriage didn’t last (he met and began dating actress Torrey DeVitto in 2007 when they acted together in Killer Marie. In April 2011 they married in a private ceremony in NYC. In July 2013 it was announced that the pair had filed for divorce), he sounds like a loyal partner.
He’s just perfect and I’m happy to have him as Crush of the Week! 🙂
